U Drive Intensive Driving School

These terms and conditions are in place as of 31/01/2015. ‘We’, ‘us’ and ‘our’ all refer to the company as an entity.

Each course is for the total amount of hours booked. The hours include the time required for taking your practical test.

All pupils must pass the legal required eye sight test (20.5m or 67ft). This will be conducted by your driving instructor. Should you fail the eye sight test the course will be put on hold until you have corrected your eyesight. Any agreed hours booked with your instructor would be lost.

If your instructor feels that you are unready to take your practical test due to safety reasons then you will not be able to do so. If this is the case your test fee will be lost.

All deposits paid are non-refundable if the course is cancelled by the pupil once and instructor has been reserved.

We can not be held responsible for bad weather cancellations of tests, we will try out best to reschedule to suit both the pupil and instructor. Be aware that this can in some instances lead to delays.

It is the student’s responsibility to notify us of the following when making a booking:

  • Your driver number
  • Your theory certificate and date passed
  • Your pickup address if different to home address
  • Any unavailable dates or times
  • Any special requirements
  • Any medical conditions
  • Any condition that could affect the driving course
Dates of any tests already booked that will conflict with the course you’re booking.

The pupil will be permitted to use the training car for their driving test provided the pupil has reached a safe standard of driving. Whilst every effort is made to get the pupil to the test level, and to take the practical test, if it is considered by the instructor that the pupil could be a danger to themselves, the DSA examiner or the general public, then for safety reasons they will not be allowed to use the training car for the test and will be advised accordingly.

All of our instructors are fully qualified DSA Approved driving instructors (DSA ADI), who have been CRB checked.

Abusive language or threatening behaviour to any of our instructors, office staff, DSA examiners or general public whilst on a driving lesson, driving test or via any communication around our staff will not be tolerated. Such actions could lead to the cancellation of your course without refund.

Udrive intensive acts as your agent in locating a Driving Instructor to provide you with the Lessons. When you make a booking with Udrive intensive you are entering into a separate contract for the Lessons which is solely between yourself and the Driving Instructor who is self-employed and who is independent from Udrive intensive.

Udrive intensive is only mentioned in these Terms and Conditions where it acts in its capacity as your agent in locating a Driving Instructor for you, arranging the Lessons for you with the Driving Instructor and making a booking for your Test(s).

The contract of the intensive course is between the pupil and the driving instructor therefore any disputes or claims should be taken with the instructor directly.

Udrive intensive is also able to book just a practical driving test for you, where you may be using your own instructor.

When taking a driving course with us, it is not normally possible to drive continuously so breaks can be arranged between you and your instructor wich will be included in your course.

The driving course also includes the practical test time and the drive back home or agreed meeting point.

If we cannot allocate you an instructor we will inform you on the friday before the course is to begin.at this point you can ask for a refund of the deposit or we can continue to try and allocate the course for the next available date.

Udrive intensive and your driving instructor cannot be held liable for any losses resulting in course cancellation or test cancellation due to any of the following reasons- due to bad weather, for example snow or ice, examiner illness, examiner strike, instructor illness, vehicle breakdown and sudden product recall on vehicles. Where possible your driving instructor will arrange others days to finish the course off.

Please do not book time off work until you have spoken to your allocated instructor and discussed your lesson timings
