Theory Test

Many driving learners have difficulty preparing for the theory test. To help you over this hurdle, UDI driving school have a course of lessons designed to help you be as best prepared as possible for the theory test. The theory test is provided to familiarize you with the format of the official test. You are advised to study the Highway Code before attempting the test. This test consists of 50 questions and you need to answer at least 43 correctly to pass.

Who is exempt from taking the Theory test?

You don’t need to take the test if:
You are upgrading your license (from automatic to manual)
Already hold a valid license elsewhere

Everybody who wants to drive a vehicle in the UK is required to sit and pass this test to be able to take the final practical driving test. You will need to show your theory test pass certificate before starting your driving test. This theory test is a computer-based multiple-choice test and is designed to test applicant’s knowledge of the Highway Code.
